Grad Snežnik 1:2000 kovina
This model of a tiny Slovenian castle Snežnik is the most attractive piece in Archiminima series of metal 1:2000 scale architectural landmark replicas. It is made of lead free pewter and toned in the shade of old silver. The Snežnik castle was built before 1269, belonging to Meinhard von Schneberg (Snežniški in Slovene). The German princes Schoenburg-Waldenburg purchased the castle in 1853. They erected a beautiful arched bridge over an artificial lake to its gate, rebuilt the castle and decorated its interiors, which have stayed intact by the present time. After WW II the castle became a hunting lodge for the country's communist leaders. Now the castle is part of Narodni Musej Slovenije and hosts an exposition depicting private life of nobility in the second half of the 19th century. This replica will make a perfect gift, home decoration miniature, historical architecture souvenir or a 1:2000 scale collectible item.
